After consultation of our archive, only 2 models with sterling silver bell were manufactured on special request."
Selmer Paris “CHORUS 80 J” STERLING SILVER BELL. One of only 2 in existence!
The B-flat “Chorus 80 J” was developed for small jazz group playing and studio recording.
A good balance between mouthpiece and bell dimensions, along with specific modifications (oversized bottom valve caps, shift tuning slide crook), contribute to the uniqueness of this model. Easy, centered blowing, good general openness, particularly in the upper register and excellent dynamic projection.
This particular instrument was handmade by special request,. The sterling silver bell creates a full compliment of partials in the tonal spectrum.
The 80J series features a .461 bore with a 4.88 - inch bell, designed for excellent response.We offer a trade-ins !

Technical condition: valves and slides move smoothly and lightly, very good compression
Visual condition: no dents, no dings, lacquer finish: about 99% remains, small loss in the lacquer finish near the bell crook (no sign of any dent job)
